Our quality of the coating is normally only found in the high-price and gastro segment, which is why our coating is often even better than new. PFOA-, AEPO- and BPA-free. The triple ceramic-reinforced non-stick coating that lasts extra long.

As the mines are located around the globe and commercial pans are mostly produced in Asia, they are transported over long distances. RePan is once again producing in the region and using existing resources instead of importing.

FAQ on the recoating service

Basically everything – no matter how bad the pan looks.

All pans, baking trays, raclette grills or shovels – regardless of manufacturer or material – can be re-coated by us (with the exception of copper and cast iron pans, which do not require a coating anyway).

However, flammable handles or parts must be removable. For waffle irons, please send the plates already disassembled.

We have two methods:

For private households, we recommend first searching the webshop for pans that have already been recoated. We probably already have your exact model in stock with a new coating. Order your new pan to your home and simply send your old one back to us in the same box. This way you won’t be missing a pan at home and you can save yourself the trouble of searching for a box. Here are our already recoated pans: RePan.ch/Shop

Is your grandmother’s pan sacred?
Or are they trays, rice pots, waffle irons or grills?
Or do you have a lot of pans?
Then the post office will be happy to collect your material and we will recoat it for you!

We are also happy to restore and return your kitchen utensils for the catering trade and private individuals – no matter what, what brand or size. As this service requires a lot of high-tech and manual work, the material will be missing for three to six weeks. To speed things up, you can select the “Exchange” option. We will then exchange it for an identical or at least similar model from stock with at least the same shape and size.

  1. You can order your newly coated pan here
  2. Enter your name & address
  3. Choose one of the following shipping methods:
    • Pick up in Olten
    • Shipping without returns
    • Shipping & return label:
We will send you a returnable box with the new pan. Put your old pan in the box. Then use the prepaid return label or even better: the QR code on the inside of the lid and have the box picked up by the post office at your front door.
  4. Voilà!
  1. You are creating a new coating application here.
  2. You enter your name & address.
  3. Now select the shipping method:
    • Collection: You have the packed pan collected from your front door by Swiss Post. You don’t have to write anything on the parcel, nor do you have to be at home. You can also simply leave the pan on your doorstep, as Swiss Post will bring the label for the return shipment for you when you collect it.
    • Shipping box: We will send you a returnable box. Inside is a QR code for collection or a prepaid returns label. Place your pan in this box and hand it over to the post office.
    • Drop off & collect yourself in Olten
    • Send it in yourself: Find a box, write the return address on it and send it to us in Olten – you can do this, but our postage is cheaper than having to hand in the parcel yourself at the post office.
  4. Now it’s just a case of wait and see! We will send you the fully restored pan back with an invoice.

Yes! We offer collection boxes incl. Cushioning material, address cards and instructions that you can place in your apartment block, workplace or other meeting place. There is room for 20-25 pans and all participants can save on postage! Look here: RePan collection box

Yes! The induction capability is determined by the metals contained in the base of the pan, not by the coating. A little tip: hold a magnet to the underside of the pan: if it holds well, the pan is induction-compatible – know how!

No matter what pan manufacturers say, a hand-washed coated pan will always last longer. The reason for this is the highly alkaline environment in the dishwasher, which can even deform the metal. But even once the pan goes into the machine, the world doesn’t come to an end. It is important that no metal touches the inside, which can lead to damage.

We even offer a one-year guarantee on the new coating, although wear and tear is very much dependent on use. If there should be any defects during production, please contact us.

The new coating is a special non-stick coating made up of three layers:
1. Primer for good grip
2. Hardening middle layer made of ceramic
3. Non-stick coating with the material PTFE (also known as “Teflon”) (And no, Teflon is not NEVER toxic)

Pans have a slightly different coating to baking trays, for example, in terms of composition. We therefore make sure that we only use what is suitable for each item.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Vilgis, physicist at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, explains:

Even if scraped-off crumbs get into the food and are swallowed, this is not a problem. They do not react in the body and are simply excreted again. In the past, problematic emulsifiers were used to bond the PTFE with the metal. These substances, such as PFOA, are among the “eternal chemicals”, are carcinogenic and are difficult to break down in the environment. They are now banned. ” Salt & pepper, Dec. 2024

Yes, with pleasure! Please write “RePan Recycling” (instead of RePan Service) on the package or the individual pans.

We will refurbish it and give it a new life in another kitchen. However, you will still have to pay the postage yourself, but you will save yourself a trip to the waste disposal yard.

Tip: If you order a pan yourself, you can select “Shipping with returns”. We will then send the pan in a returnable box with a postal label for returning.
